Etaproof

The success story of Etaproof dates back to the Second World War in England. This famous fabric has been developed in order to protect the lives of Hurricane pilots, who frequently had to bail out of their aircraft by parachute or ditch their planes in the icy waters of the Atlantic. The Immersion Suits made of this fabulous fabric proved to be comfortable to wear, both in the cockpit and during the endless hours of waiting to be summoned for take-off. The watertight and thermally insulating fabric gave the pilots a genuine chance of survival in emergency situations. Sixty years later, many pilots of various air forces are still wearing suits made of this outstanding fabric, which today is being manufactured by Stotz, and marketed under the name of Etaproof.
